FRED systems set the standard for forensic acquisition and analysis workstations. The quality, features, performance, and overall capability are second to none. Buying a FRED system means making an investment in your ability to solve every investigation. Year after year. Case after case. FRED systems help forensic examiners world-wide work smarter, faster, and with more success. Put the power of FRED to work for you today.

Our philosophy is simple. Design and build FRED systems with features and components not available in any other forensic computer systems. Spec and configure FREDs based upon our experience and real-world knowledge of digital forensics. Use the highest quality components available. Control our build process for excellent quality. Use commercially available forensic software to test the living daylights out of any FRED we put our name on. And support our customer base stand with a comprehensive warranty and a lifetime of professional technical support.

Small in stature yet big in features, FRED-L laptops built with Intel Core i7-8700K six core processors provide the processing punch for any forensic challenge. Memory expandable to 64 GB and slots for up to four hard drives supports the I/O flexibility required by today’s leading forensic software applications. High performance external interfaces including Thunderbolt, USB 3.1, and USB 3.0 minimize data transfer times. Field or lab. Imaging or analysis. FRED-L laptops perform.

FRED-L laptop gets you more than just a top-of-the line, high-performance forensic computer. Each FRED-L laptop includes our valuable UltraKit stocked with three UltraBlock write blockers (SATA/IDE, USB3.0, and SAS), an UltraBlock Forensic Media Card Reader and the Digital Intelligence USB 3.0 drive enclosure with a 2 TB hard-drive. All for the price of the FRED-L laptop.

FREDC Data Centers function as a digital forensic data server and complete forensic network infrastructure. The heart of each FREDC is a SERVER-RM module, powered by Intel Dual Xeon E5-2620 processors, with 8 cores per cpu. Upgrades of 10, 14, and 18 cores per cpu are available. 128 GB DDR4 memory is standard, upgradeable to 256 and 512 GB.

Each FREDC Server-RM comes standard with a ten drive internal RAID array for operating system, workstation images and other data storage needs. FREDC systems also include a sixteen drive RAID-RM module for digital evidence storage. As evidence storage needs grow, additional RAID-RM modules can be added. RAID6 fault tolerance is standard and other types of RAID striping are also supported. FREDC Data Centers achieve extremely fast data transfers with dual 10 Gb ethernet networks, standard with FREDC installations.

The FREDC SERVER-RM’s operating system is OpenSUSE Linux, optimized by Digital Intelligence for incredible performance and near-zero system administration. With a FREDC Data Center, you avoid the headaches, upgrades, and higher support cost that come with traditional Windows data server environments.

FREDDIE is the portable ready-to-go-anywhere version of the FRED digital forensic workstation. Powerful and rugged, FREDDIE’s standard configuration starts with an Intel six core i7-6800K, 3.4 GHz CPU with 15 MB cache and 32 GB of DDR4 memory. When digital forensic work requires travel by sea, land, or air – take along a FREDDIE.

Field work requires reliable equipment capable of dealing with unexpected challenges. FREDDIE is built in a ruggedized enclosure and designed for field use at electronic crime scenes. Packed with advanced features and quality-built, FREDDIE excels at field acquisition and analysis work. The base FREDDIE ships with three high-performance drives for the OS, database/cache/temp, and case data. A four 2.5-inch SATA drive chassis flexes storage capacity when needed. A USB 3.1 connected 3.5” SATA hot-swap removeable drive tray makes for convenient, fast data transfer.

The Digital Intelligence μFRED system has the forensic case processing power of larger, more expensive systems in a form factor the fraction of the size. The μFRED includes an Intel six core i7-8700, 3.2 GHz CPU with 12 GB cache. Three storage drives for the OS, database/cache/temp, and case data are standard. Fourteen different USB connections provide expansion flexibility. Network data transfers are fast and efficient with an integrated gigabit Ethernet connection. Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth provide additional connectivity.

Scaled down in size but not processing power, μFRED’s offer the performance of a higher end system at an entry level system price. Don’t overpay for performance. If you need the quality and performance that come with FRED systems at a budget friendly price, the Digital Intelligence μFRED should be high on your list.
